Philip Deberard recognized by OCSO

Posted
OKEECHOBEE — Philip Deberard was honored by the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office on May 22.

"Your father would be proud as you carry the same tradition and care for our community as he did. There isn't a time that you have been asked to partner with our agency that you have ever not; we appreciate your dedication to the Okeechobee Community and our office. We wanted to give you a small token of gratitude to acknowledge that dedication," said Sheriff Noel E. Stephen,  while presenting him with an appreciation award for the years of dedicated service to our community.

Deberard and his staff helped fund the Okeechobee County Bicycle Safety Rodeo for children (coming this July). They ensured the Halloween Festival Extravaganza, which was canceled, was financed and kept going this past year. Numerous other times, bicycles and more have been donated to children within the community.
