OKEECHOBEE- The Treasure Coast Lady Titans came roaring back to tie the Okeechobee High School Lady Brahmans late in the seventh inning of their game on March 1.

But OHS quickly dismissed any hope of a Treasure Coast win in the eighth inning.

The Lady Brahman varsity softball team had a 10-5 lead headed into the top of the seventh inning. But Treasure Coast rallied, scoring five runs and tied that game. The Lady Titans defense held Okeechobee scoreless in the bottom of the seventh and the game headed to extra innings.

Treasure Coast took the lead in the top of the eighth, scoring two runs to take a 12-10 lead. With their backs against the wall, the Lady Brahmans answered the Lady Titans in the bottom of the eighth, scoring three runs and securing a walk-off victory.

The Lady Brahmans are 3-4 to start their season, with one of those wins being a 16-1 rout of the Glades Day Lady Gators.

Rylie Tucker and Addison Smith each had three RBIs for Okeechobee, while Kamryn Hackett had two. Tucker and Smith also each had a homerun against Glades Day. Hackett and Alyssa Madrigal each had two stolen bases.

Okeechobee will face the Martin County Lady Tigers on March 20 at 6:30 p.m.
