OKEECHOBEE -- CareerSource Heartland (CSH) is seeking decision-makers from local businesses to participate in an Education and Industry Consortium to identify the strengths and needs of the local workforce, to help align educational programming and create work-based training opportunities to address skills gaps.

CSH is the designated workforce organization serving DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands, and Okeechobee counties. CSH’s mission is to connect employers with skilled talent to promote and enhance career development opportunities to achieve economic prosperity.

This is a volunteer Consortium. Meetings will be held quarterly. Time commitment is estimated to be no more than 1 hour quarterly, and participation can be in person or virtual. While Members are appointed to serve 2-year (renewable) terms, they may resign at any time.

Participants should be executive level staff with knowledge of the workforce needs of the industry they represent.
