Speckled Perch Festival and Cowtown Rodeo this weekend

OKEECHOBEE — This weekend brings Okeechobee’s own Speckled Perch Festival, March 9 and 10 in Flagler Park in downtown Okeechobee, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The parade will be Saturday, March 9 at 10 a.m.

The festival will include arts and crafts booths, food vendors and entertainment.

Okeechobee Cowtown Rodeo will be Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10. Gates open at noon. Mutton Bustin’ will start at 2 p.m.  Rodeo action starts at 2:30 p.m, at the Historic Okeechobee Cattlemen’s Arena, 1885 US Hwy 441 North.

Tickets for everyone ages 13 and up are available for $20 if ordered online. Tickets purchased at the door are $25.

Kids ages 6-12 are $10 and are available for purchase at the door. Children ages 5 and under are FREE! Parking is $5 per vehicle with 100% of the proceeds to benefit local students.

The Junior Cattlemen and FFA students will run the concession stands. (Please bring cash for the concessions.)
