IMMOKALEE – A 28-year-old Immokalee man was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 14 according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.

According to FHP report, at 2:30 a.m. an unknown vehicle was traveling east on Colorado Avenue, near the intersection of South Fourth Street.  A pedestrian  was walking east on Colorado Avenue, near the intersection of South Fourth Street.

The front left of vehicle collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained critical injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

Post collision, the driver fled the scene in the vehicle, is possibly a 2007-2009 model Toyota Camry.
