BELLE GLADE — What starts as a lazy day at the beach, quickly turns into mystery and adventure when the search for Blackbeard’s treasure begins! Tales both past and present lead us on a search of untold riches. Just where has Blackbeard and his crew hidden their legendary treasure?

The local cast features Nick Morris as Blackbeard, Catherine Vasquez as Bluebeard, Trent Stone as Greybeard, and Jazlyn Forrester as Peach Fuzz as the bearded Pirate Crew. Blair Stone, Oscar Watson IV and Kyra Ransom star as the Beach Bums. Joining the fun is also a gang of nautical creatures: Ema Bueno as Queen Crab; Sarah Molina as Hermit Crab; Abigail Smith as Snow Crab and Solana Sharp as Peekytoe Crab; Amelia Molina, Hazel Jones, Isaiah Mendoza, Izabela Mendoza, Amalia Rojas, Jetarian Davis, Jayvian Webb, Kavian Webb are the precocious Parrots and Chris Jones plays Lt. Maynard.

“Blackbeard the Pirate” will be presented at 7 p.m. at the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center in Palm Beach State College, 1977 SW College Drive in Belle Glade, on Friday, July 14. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children under 12 and are available at the Box Office in advance and at the door, day of performance.
