Posted

LABELLE — The Health Departments in Hendry and Glades Counties have transitioned to offer COVID-19 vaccinations rather than testing. Many healthcare providers, urgent care centers and pharmacies continue to offer testing.

Drive-thru testing for COVID-19 will be available on Monday, March 8, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Hendry County Health Department, 1140 Pratt Blvd. No appointments necessary. Testing is free for adults and children five years of age and older with parental consent. There are no criteria or restrictions for testing.

Persons tested will be given instructions on how to receive their test results.

Please help stop the spread of COVID-19:

  • Follow social distancing – Keep at least 6-feet of space from others.
  • Don’t go to work, school, church, or shopping while you are sick.
  • Cover your face with a cloth face covering when you are in public or around others.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes; cough or sneeze into a tissue NOT in your hands!
  • Clean and disinfect frequently used surfaces.
  • Avoid unnecessary travel.
  • Get vaccinated once you qualify!
