Okeechobee Arrest Report

The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).

• James Gillis Jr., 44, Northwest 47th Terrace, was arrested Feb. 18 by OCSO and charged with sexual battery with a weapon. Bond was set at $100,000.
• Karen Claxton, 57, U.S. 441 Southeast, was arrested Feb. 20 by OCSO and charged with DUI. Bond was set at $750.
• Dalton Hillard, 19, Northeast 12th Lane, was arrested Feb. 20 by OCSO and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $3,500.

• Allen Naylor, 68, State Road 78 West, was arrested Feb. 19 by OCSO and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $3,500.
• Charmel Smith, 41, 11th Court, was arrested Feb. 19 by OCSO and charged with DUI. Bond was set at $1,000.
• Adrien Smith, 19, Southeast Eighth Avenue, was arrested Feb. 22 by OCSO and charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Bond in that arrest was set at $5,000, but he is being held without bond on a contempt of court charge.
• Tyler Hampton, 28, Southeast 36th Avenue, was arrested Feb. 22 by OCSO and charged with possession of methamphetamine, 14 grams or over. Bond was set at $100,000.
• Jonathan Hunt, 33, Northwest First Street, was arrested Feb. 23 by OCSO and charged with possession of cocaine and introduction of contraband to a detention facility. Bond was set at $5,000.
