Hendry County provides information about receiving second dose of COVID-19

The Florida Department of Health in Hendry County provides information to follow when you receive your second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.

• When an individual receives the first dose of the vaccine, they will be given a vaccine card with information regarding their second dose.

• The health departments will not call individuals to schedule the second dose.

Individuals will need to contact the health department approximately one week prior to their second dose to schedule the appointment. (The vaccine card will give you the target date for your second dose)

• You do not have to return back to the health department or provider where you received your first vaccine.

Any county health department or provider that has the same type of vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) can administer the second dose.
