Hendry County launches COVID-19 relief funding for agricultural businesses and food security operations

HENDRY COUNTY — Beginning Monday, March 1, Hendry County agricultural businesses and food security operations that have been directly affected by COVID-19 will be able to apply for financial assistance through HendryCARES.

Agricultural Housing Assistance: Funding to assist agricultural businesses in Hendry County who have made improvements to their employee housing facilities for the safety and well-being of their employees.

Food Security Operations: Funding to assist with established food security operations in Hendry County who provide food to community members in need.

Applications will open Monday, March 1, 2021 on the HendryCARES website – www.HendryCARES.com .

HendryCARES.com features FAQ’s that address the qualifications to apply as well as what documents applicants will need on-hand in order to complete and submit their application.

Individuals and businesses can apply online (HendryCARES.com) or call 863-674-5490 to speak with an eligibility specialist who will provide details on the virtual process and connect you with services.

The call center will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday – Friday, beginning Monday, March 1.
