CLEWISTON- The Clewiston Cougars organization recently announced their first ever cheer clinic. The clinic will be taught by Jaguar Athletics.

The Jaguars Athletics is a competition cheer gym in West Palm. The coaches have a lot of experience and the athletes have won several national competitions this year.

“We are super excited to announce our first ever cheer clinic,” the Clewiston Cougars announcement read. “Cheer coaches from Jaguar Athletics Cheer will be in Clewiston for the two day clinic.  High school teams are also welcome.  Please save your spot by contacting us and making payment.”

Growing up in competitive cheer and dance, the owner of Jaguar Athletics, Dinna Gilroy, provides athletes from across South Florida the opportunity to receive state-of-the-art training that she herself received as an athlete.  Gilroy was trained by the Top Gun All-Stars, and she is a USASF Legality Judge, Credentialed in Levels 1-7, AACCA Certified, NCSSE Certified, Cheer Ltd. Judging Certified.

“We would love the local High School teams to attend also!  Dinna Gilroy is one of the best!” said the announcement from Clewiston Cougars.

“I am so excited to work with these amazing athletes!!!!” Gilroy replied.

There are countless benefits to cheerleading. It’s a sport that requires athleticism, strength, flexibility, coordination, and dedication. Also, cheerleading offers more than physical rewards, the sport is also a social, team-based activity that can help boost self-esteem and build leadership skills.
