OKEECHOBEE — The Chamber of Commerce of Okeechobee County plans special events in February.

Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 5 p.m. -- Okeechobee Main Street will be kicking off their 2021 Mixers with the grand opening of Okeechobee Main Street’s new office at 111 N.E. Second Street. The mixer will be from 5 to 7 p.m., introducing the Arts & Culture Alliance new Art Center and you don’t want to miss meeting their new Executive Director Faith Nielson. A tour of their new space will be given while light pre-packaged refreshments will be served. COVID guidelines will be followed, masks must be worn and precautions for social distancing will be encouraged. Photo opportunity at 5 p.m. with their Ribbon cutting. Hope to see you there!

Chamber After Hours on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. — The Chamber of Commerce will host our first After Hours of 2021 at the city’s new Centennial Park located at 216 S.E. 6th Ave. Have you ever had the experience of speed dating? Well this will be a fun event where instead of speed dating, we will be speed networking! A great way for each of us to learn a little more about each person in attendance. We will have cards made up with questions that you can use to ask of each person, or you can prepare them ahead of time, or just use whatever questions comes to mind as you meet them. Your choice, just make it fun and informative. We will still be following CDC guidelines by social distancing and wearing of masks is encouraged to protect all who attend. Don’t miss out on our first afterhours of the year and come join in the speed networking! Looking forward to seeing you on the 25th.
