Students do well in ballet competition

Posted

OKEECHOBEE — Two students from local studio, The Okeechobee Ballet, competed with hundreds of students from around Florida at The Universal Ballet Competition in Miramar, Florida held  from February 18--20. Kaylee O’Fallon, age 8, performed the Doll variation from Coppelia and Lilly Mobley, also age 8, performed the Aurora variation from Sleeping Beauty. Both dancers placed in the Gold division! Both students also got the opportunity to take educational Master Classes over the weekend, as well as perform and compete. It was a beautiful experience and opportunity for growth for these young dancers! We are all so proud of their hard work and dedication to their art. The Okeechobee Ballet is located at 810 N Parrott Ave and holds local performances biannually. For more information about training with the Okeechobee Ballet or about upcoming performances find us on Facebook or call/text (863) 447-7350.
