LaBelle White House to host multi-sport tournament

Posted

LABELLE - The LaBelle White House, a non-governmental not for profit organization based in Hendry County, has developed a Sports Department. The department has partnered with the Montura community to hold a basketball tournament on March 13, beginning at 8 a.m., followed by a soccer tournament beginning at 9 a.m., with a soccer shoot afterwards at 10 a.m.

“Food, drinks, will all be provided for free by Central County Water Control District. We ask that all that are going to play have a team of six players and sign a waiver. For those younger than the age of 18, have a legal guardian or parent sign the waiver. The tournament will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place holders,” explained Mauricio Perez, the LaBelle White House Press Secretary.

The LaBelle White House is a community-minded organization  founded in 2012 by Daniel Santiago, Jr., the self-appointed president. Santiago says that he started the organization and recruited his “staff” in order to inspire youth and get them to be more involved in the community.
